Screening Artists' Moving Image Venue: Flatpack Festival, Birmingham Date: Friday 26 March 2010 Cost: £30 (includes lunch and free entry to Flatpack Festival's Friday night event 'Fast Forward', curated by Synth Eastwood).  Travel and accommodation bursaries are available.

Who is the course for? Cinemas, film festivals and film societies who want to start of develop a programme of artists' film Cross arts venues who want to integrate their cinema and gallery more comprehensively Galleries and museums interested in forging links with cinemas Independent curators working with film and video What does the course cover?   An accessible and practical introduction to: History of artists' moving image: exhibition and practice Curating: key approaches and techniques Audiences: effective approaches to audience development and overcoming barriers to interest Marketing: creating successful promotional materials Practicalities: technical and legal considerations Case studies of successful projects Key organisations and potential partners What will I get from the day?
