Appeal for old digital cameras
During 2008 Nature Island Foundation is supporting the development of a project in the Commonwealth of Dominica, to teach basic still photography skills to schoolchildren and members of the community.
During these courses the aim is to show participants how to see their lives and the nature around them from a different perspective.
Unfortunately very few schools in Dominica have digital cameras and the same is true of residents in many villages. We would, therefore, like to make sure that we can provide at least one digital camera to each school and each village to give as many Dominican citizens as possible the chance to take a photo on National Click Day.
With that in mind we are wondering if you have any friends who have working digital cameras that they no longer use, which they would be willing to donate to Nature Island Foundation for our project? If the camera is rechargeable, we would obviously need the camera charger too.
If you are able to help, I shall be grateful if you could collect any cameras that are donated and I can pick them up. Alternatively cameras can be well packed and mailed to:
Brian Norris
Nature Island Foundation
Illand, Launceston
Cornwall, PL15 7LS
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes
Brian Norris
